summary: through FOGFALL the monsterous world bled into ours and the SOULLESS began lurking... we are headed towards ERIDIA, 'the city of knowlege', the player's last hope to find a cure for their curse. there are 3 origins to chose from, which give us different perks: the unnamed (raised as an oracle in a remote temple; heightened awareness of hidden supernatural presences), the exile* (raised by an elderly hermit after being exiled for our curse; survivalist, well-versed in SOULLESS behaviors and an uncanny intuition for detecting danger, the alchemist (raised by a former eridian academic; experienced spellcaster, can find traces of magic that an untrained eye wouldn't). *the exile origin was previously 'the hound' with a different story and perk, but was swapped out in the 2nd DEMO version.

thoughts: out of the SIMS games, i'd say 4 probably has the best build-mode and create-a-sim. but many features are either lackluster or feel empty, it's hardly as chaotic as previous releases and it's also broken half the time..... not good, but i still find enjoyment in making houses&sims and playing with them, so i'd say it scratches the itch, especially if decorating and dress-up is more your cup of tea.
